This is the skeleton behind the world famous Freighter frame and all the Frontier Gear of Alaska external frame packs. The frame is made of 6000 series aircraft aluminum for lightweight strength. Each cross beam is designed to protect the wearer from bulky objects like a moose quarter and the Y bar at the top adds tremendous torsional rigidity.
